BACKCOUNTRY TOURS : Usually involves a fair hike up from top lift and beginning your descent from a point above the tree line. You will almost certainly be riding powder at some point. OFF PISTE TOURS: Lift accessed powder lines and tree runs. Little or no hiking involved

NOT INCLUDED: Food, drinks or lift pass BACKCOUNTRY INTRODUCTION TOUR This tour will teach you the fundamentals of backcountry ski/board touring. You will get an intro into: • Use of touring skis/split boards and skins • Choosing both cllimbing and riding routes • Suitable gear, both wear and avalanche safety equipment and use of • Weather and snow pack analysis • Managing your goup SKILL REQUIREMENTS: No backcountry experience necessary but intermediate level ski/snowboard riding skill in off piste areas is required
USAGI BACKCOUNTRY (ENTRY LEVEL) For those that are just starting to get into the backcountry Compared to the Backcountry Intro Tour the focus on the Usagi Entry Level tour is less on “how to do it” and more on actually hiking up into the backcountry and shredding it. The day will involve using alpine touring skis or split board/snowshoes to hke up ridge lines or slopes before a 500-700 metre vertical descent on epic bacckountry terrain. SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Intermediate Ski/Snowboard riding skill in off-piste area and powder and reasonable fitness level. No previous actual backcountry experience required. KITSUNE BACKCOUNTRY (ADVANCED LEVEL) For those with previous backcountry experience Participants in this tour will be rewarded with more challening terrain and accordingly will need to be confident on variable terrain and snow conditions and on steeper slopes. SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Very good fitness and previous backcountry experience (minimum 5-10 times). Ability to ride powder in forested areas. KAMOSHIKA BACKCOUNTRY (EXPERT LEVEL) For those that have joined the Usagi or Kitsune tour This tour is faster paced and goes deeper into the backcountry to access the best lines and terrain further off the beaten path. SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Excellent level of fitness and previous backcountry experience on the Usagi or Kitsune tour. ADVANCED OFF-PISTE GROUP TOUR If you want the goods but aren’t so keen on the hiking aspect. This tour is for advanced riders who prefer to take advantage of the lifts to get more vertical and just want to ride as much powder and off piste terrain as possible. You will experience lots of exciting terrain and features and will be riding hard all day. Short hikes are possible in order to unearth hidden powder runs. SKILL REQUIREMENTS: You need to be an advanced rider who can confidently navigate powder, dense tree runs, open creek beds and fast narrow exit trails.
