Getting to Hakuba from Nagano

Just jump on the Alpico Bus!

If you have made it all the way to Nagano then the esiest way to get to Hakuba is by Alpico bus (about 1 hr). Do not try and catch a train-even if you have a JR pass as you will need to backtrack to Matsumoto first then train it from there- will take you 3 hrs or so. When you arrive in Nagano station, you need to exit the station via the exit west and look for bus stop number 26. From Hakuba you can catch it at either Hakuba train station, Happo Bus Terminal, Goryu, Tsugaike or Norikura.
