Banks

There are 2 banks in Hakuba, Hachijuni Bank (literally "82 Bank") which is a short walk uphill directly from the train station, and Nagano Bank (walk right as you come out of the train station and it is a 5 minutes walk on the right hand side). They will change travellers cheques and the like for you, but beware their opening hours-they close about 3pm. You can also change money at the Happo Info centre till about 9pm.

ATM’s

If you just need to withdraw cash from an ATM then the best option is the post office near the station, the 7/11 convenience shops in MIsolano (open 24hrs) or the ATM in the Happo information centre. You can use visa or mastercards. See the map below for more info
